What if my parent isn't tech-savvy?

This is the most common question we hear, and the one we built everything around.

Your parent doesn't need to download an app, remember a password, or learn a new tool. There are five ways to share stories, and at least one of them will feel natural.

The easiest option: email reply

Each week, a question arrives in their inbox. They hit reply, type their answer, and send. That's it. If they can email, they can do this.

If they'd rather talk

Two options here. They can press a record button and speak. We transcribe every word in real time. Or they can have a conversation with Ali, our guided interviewer, which feels like talking to a curious friend. Ali asks follow-up questions and writes a first draft of the chapter for them to review.

You can help too

When you purchase the gift, you can add yourself as a collaborator. That means you can log in, check on progress, write stories from your own perspective, and even add photos on their behalf. Many families turn it into a shared project.

The short answer If they can open an email and hit reply, they can do this. No apps. No passwords. No learning curve.
