What does the finished book look and feel like?

The book is a hardcover with a matte finish. Premium archival paper. Full-color interior with photos printed right alongside the stories. It feels like a book you'd pick up at a bookstore, not a self-published pamphlet.

A finished Kindred Tales book. Hardcover, matte finish, archival paper. Built to sit on a shelf for generations.

We chose these materials because this is something families keep. It sits on a shelf, gets pulled down at holidays, gets passed to the next generation. The binding, the paper weight, the print quality: all of it is built for longevity.

Inside the book

Stories are printed on thick, archival-quality paper with full-color photos placed inline, right where they belong in the narrative. Each chapter opens with the story prompt as a header, followed by the story in a clean, readable layout.

Size and format

The book is a standard 6x9 hardcover format. Page counts vary based on how many stories and photos are included. Most books land between 150 and 350 pages.

Every purchase also includes a free digital PDF of the finished book, so the family has a backup and can share it electronically.
