How do I add photos to the book?

Photos go right inside the stories, exactly where they belong. Not dumped into a gallery at the back of the book.

How it works in the editor

From the online story editor, click "Add Photo" between any two paragraphs. Drag and drop an image from your computer or phone, then type a caption underneath. The photo will appear in the printed book exactly where you placed it.

"Mom and Dad on their wedding day, 1968." "The old house on Maple Street." The photos become part of the narrative, the way they would in a real memoir.

Photo quality tips

The book prints in full color on archival paper. For the best results, upload the highest resolution version you have. Phone photos work fine. Scanned prints work great too.

There's no limit to the number of photos you can include.

Tip Old printed photos? Take a picture of them with your phone camera in good lighting. The scanner apps built into most phones do a solid job, but even a regular photo works well enough for the book.
